I am obsessed with Açaí Bowl and love all of the different textures and flavors that go into creating them. When I lived in New York, Juice Gen was my go-to Açaí bowl place (love the PB Açaí and the Almond Butter Bliss). However, after moving to Barcelona I haven’t quite found my favorite Açaí bowl spot, so that’s why I decided to create the Perfect Açaí Bowl.
This bowl is the perfect blend of creaminess and sweetness, but it’s not too overpowering with either one. I used frozen strawberries and a bar of Açaí (you can find in the frozen food section at most grocery stores).
What’s so perfect about this açaí bowl?
Açaí – contains omega-6 and omega-9. It’s energizing and promotes healthy skin. Omega-6 helps with brain function and growth while omega-9 lowers the cholesterol.
Banana – potassium, vitamin C, manganese, and digestion aid. Also good for the skin.
Strawberries – vitamin C, folate, vitamin B9, and potassium.
Cocoa – rich of polyphenols which is from antioxidants. This helps reduce inflammation and increase blood flow.
Cinnamon – medicinal properties, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory.Print
The Perfect Açaí Bowl
A cold, refreshing, açaí bowl with well-balanced flavors and health benefits. Vegan, gluten-free + dairy-free.

- 1 bar açaí (frozen)
- 1 banana (frozen)
- 5–6 small-medium strawberries (frozen)
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 dash cinnamon
- granola, coconut flakes, nut butter, cacao nibs, etc. (optional toppings)
- Aside from the toppings, but all of the ingredients in the blender (make sure everything is in small pieces if you have trouble blending).
- Pour mixture into a bowl.
- Add toppings! ☺️
The trick with the strawberries is to not use too much but just enough (start with less, you can always add more after tasting it). When it starts to taste too strawberry-y, to me, it takes away the magic. I love the subtle taste of everything in the recipe between the all of the ingredients.

I used peanut butter on mine and it’s amazing! I love to mix it in so I’m surprised and happy when I get the bite of peanut butter, haha! Also highly recommend that cocoa nibs. It’s nice having the extra crunch 😉
